Indiana University of Pennsylvania
Some might be surprised at how many options there are for running track surfaces. But, depending on your needs and budget, there are many.
Polyurethane running tracks make up the overwhelming majority of surfaces in America, and full-pour systems, those with a polyurethane or plant-based gel base layer, are considered to be the best. So when Indiana University of Pennsylvania needed a new track, they wanted something that would be fit for NCAA Division II competition without breaking the bank.
With the help of the architects at Pennoni, the school decided on the Rekortan R10, a 10-millimeter system consisting of a polyurethane base layer and the familiar polyurethane and embedded EPDM rubber wearing course. The system is approved for NCAA competition and provides a high performance surface that will stand the test of time.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania's NCAA Division II track program runs on a 10-millimeter full pour running track installed by ATT Sports in 2017.
