Duquesne University, PA

Having built dozens of tracks in New York City and Washington D.C., ATT Sports is accustomed to working in tight spaces. Having been hand-selected by the likes of Penn, Princeton, Georgetown, Holy Cross and other top collegiate programs, ATT Sports is also adept at building tracks for the country’s top universities. In the summer of 2023, those two things came together when we were tabbed to surface the track at McCloskey Field at Duquesne University’s downtown Pittsburgh campus.

The 3-lane surface is the training home of the Dukes’ NCAA Division I Track and Field programs, and it encircles a new Shaw Sports Turf field. ATT Sports partnered with Force Turf Solutions on the project, which came with tight deadlines and a tighter spot in which to work. Planning and communication were paramount to ensure the school received the turf and running track they wanted and were able to use them before the return of students in the fall.
